Camille Labonté is a compelling and versatile soprano based in Toronto, Canada. Equally at home in both traditional and contemporary repertoire, she is recognized for her musical sensitivity and captivating stage presence. One of Canada’s most promising emerging young artists, Camille was a prize-winner of the 49th annual Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition in Voice.
Camille’s operatic credits include Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia), Prima Donna (Viva la Mamma!), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare), and world premiere performances as Antigone (With the Telling Comes the Magic) and Anna Massey (Avenue of Avarice). Past concert appearances include soprano solos in Carmina Burana, Handel’s Messiah, and Considering Matthew Shepard.
